Our Purpose

Too many tamariki and rangatahi in Northland are struggling — at school, at home, and in life — because of something that often goes unrecognised. Irlen Syndrome affects the way the brain processes what the eyes see, and without the right support, its impact can be profound.

The good news is that help is available. But for many whānau, the cost of screening, assessment, and treatment puts that help out of reach.

Irlen North Trust was established to change that. We provide financial support to Northland whānau so that cost is never the reason a child misses out on the clarity they deserve.

We believe every tamariki has the right to see the world without barriers — and we're here to help make that possible.

Our Vision

To be the Northland champion for tamariki and rangatahi living with Irlen Syndrome — ensuring every child has access to the support they need to thrive, regardless of their whānau's financial circumstances.

Our Values

We believe where you live or what you earn should never determine whether you get help.

EQUITY

We make the process as simple and transparent as possible, so whānau always know where they stand.

CLARITY
